GU switches off for the sake of the climate

News: Mar 03, 2011

On Saturday 26 March, between 20.30 and 21.30, the University of Gothenburg will turn off the lights for the sake of the climate. The Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) is behind Earth Hour, which is an annual event when everyone is encouraged to turn off the lights for an hour. The aim behind the event is to show decision-makers that they have broad global support for an ambitious climate policy. The University of Gothenburg will take part in Earth Hour by turning off the lighting on the fronts of several of its buildings. You as a private individual are also encouraged to turn off the lights for the sake of the climate.
