From 20 September to 3 October, the University of Gothenburg will participate in the car-free commuting challenge Utmaningen - till jobbet utan bil arranged by the Traffic and Public Transport Office in connection with the European Mobility Week. To participate, if you normally drive to work, choose another alternative; if you already are a non-car commuter, get somebody you know to do the same for at least one day. The workplace that achieves the highest number of ‘converts’ will win the honour and satisfaction of having contributed to a better environment, less congestion and healthier co-workers. On two occasions during the European Mobility Week, University staff will be offered free basic bicycle service including a general check-up and simple air pressure, brake and gear adjustments. The service is provided by Sportson Patrol, who will also give visitors an opportunity to test-ride an electric bicycle. In addition, all service ‘customers’ will receive an attractive discount offer from Sportson. Bring your bike to:
